Sultry, soulful superstar of the Kansas City Jazz and Soul scene, Seyko Groves commands the stage with local musicians Cam Ray and Top Hat Live in a performance debuting original songs and the timeless soul, blues & R&B standards that inspire this monumental talent. A vocalist and songwriter for Kansas City’s dynamic original soul band, The Freedom Affair, Groves has enchanted audiences at a variety of prestigious venues, including Cesar’s Palace Las Vegas, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and the famed Blue Room Kansas City Jazz Club.

Soulful singer and songwriter Seyko Groves’ musical talents were nurtured during her formative years in church and school choirs. Today, after two solid decades as a showstopping frontliner and collaborative songwriter for Kansas City bands such as the Motown-inspired Freedom Affair, Groves is poised to take the artistic leap as independent soloist performing her own original material. Inspired by two of the music industry’s greatest songwriters, Diane Warren and Lori McKenna, Groves released her first original singles in 2023.
