Singer songwriters Ian Thomas and Chelsea Hunt create their songs through a unique performance-based and intuitive editing process that codifies their music into captivating live performance whether onstage or in the studio. Performing as the Band of Drifters, originally a national band formed by Thomas in 2009, the Livingston, MT based duo draws on a variety of regional and Americana influences including classic country, folk, blues, and honky-tonk. Their polished, distinct harmonies are founded on “old style” instrumentalization of guitar, fiddle, and harmonica with occasional homage to modern American Roots music of Dylan and Jennings. While in Seaside, Thomas and Hunt will create new material for their national band and for performance and recording as a duo.
